Improving Access to Health Care in Rural and Underserved Communities
Rural and underserved communities face significant challenges when trying to access health care services. In many areas, the supply of health care providers fails to keep pace with the demand for service. Shortage of supplies and inadequate distribution of health care practitioners creates barriers to acquiring timely and adequate care, leading to deficiencies in receiving needed health care. ADRI ‘s projects and programs will accord increased accessibility to care in rural and underserved communities and greater entree to medical attention sorely needed for attending to basic health concerns.
