Empowering the children of Moulé, Tiédia, and Djounkargo by strengthening a local elementary school.
Located in the south western region of Bukina Faso in West Africa, the Moulé-Tiédia Elementary School is currently the home of 185 children (106 girls and 79 boys) between the age of 6-15. The children are from from the villages of Moulé, Tiédia, Djounkargo and the farming hamlets to the south before the river. Before the school was created, children from these villages travelled some 20 km (12 miles) round-trip per day to reach the Diébougou schools, for those lucky enough to attend.
The Moulé-Tiédia Elementary School was built in October 1996. It is located in the Diébougou commune. The school has not been renovated or refurbished since its creation almost 30 years ago. The objectives of the Moulé-Tiédia Elementary School Project is to provide a better learning environment for the girls and boys attending the school.
Currently six classrooms and the director office are damaged by rain and have not been renovated since 1996.The students lack basic clothes and shoes to wear on school days. The funds collected will help with the classroom renovation , the office of the school director. It will also help repair and replace new desks and other furniture for the students and staff. It will also provide school uniforms and school supplies for the students.
Located 10km from the town of Diébougou. It is bordered to the east by Diébougou, to the west by the village of Naborgane, to the north by the Bougouriba river and to the south by the villages of Loto and Bamako.
